Introduction

What can I say about me?

Let's start with my name is Rachel and I turned 40 years old this year! I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland with my son, dog and our cat... our perfect little family!

I'm not much into labels... however a description of me- I'm a wild spirit, moon child, solitary, free thinking, tree hugging, artistic, animal loving, nature loving, boy mama pagan who practices witchcraft! I am always growing and learning, I love to learn new things, and hear about new ideas, and strengthen my knowledge and abilities. I have devoted my spirit, heart, body and mind to the study of magick, witchcraft and paganism. I love every moment of this journey, it will never end-I am a knowledge seeker and this is the path that my soul chose. I am proud that I don't fit into any of the conventional moulds that society tends to favour, I have just never had any desire to follow the crowd-it's simply not my thing. I do give space and respect to all people and their beliefs and expect the same courtesy.

I've been in some dark places, i've been abused, hurt, bullied, physically attacked, had my heart broken, been homeless, penniless, miscarried my first son and been told that my body couldn't physically carry a child-yes lining of my womb was too thin to carry a baby and my ovaries weren't producing estrogen. However, each time I have reached deep down inside of myself and refused to give up. I know that I am a strong woman, a strong human and have the ability to manifest and create better situations for my life. I am solitary and depend upon myself to save my own soul. And yes I carried my second son in my own womb and clearly produced estrogen without any medical attention or help! I am not suggesting that anyone with fertility issues should not seek help... this is just my story. My precious, healthy, beautiful baby boy is now 6 years old and if I ever need a reminder of how magick truly does exist in this world and that anything is possible i simply look at him!

I live a happy life, filled with gratitude to the universe for every single thing that I have been blessed with. I am thankful for every day that I get to live this human experience. I live in harmony with the wheel of the year and the moon cycles and i embrace the duality and interconnectedness of light and dark. This all just makes the most sense to me. I hope this has been a good insight into the person behind Salem's Shack and a good first blog!
