Lammas marks the time when the crops are ripening and will soon be cut. Lughnasadh marks the first harvest of the year when the fruits and grains will be gathered. A time of abundance and gratitude, but also of reflection as the days begin to shorten and the air turns cooler, signalling the arrival of the second half of the year when darkness slowly starts to gain ground.
